Costa Brava Details

 

 

The main leisure activities offered by residents are diving, a sailing club, and the rental of small boats. The area also has a forest park where children can entertain themselves and spend the afternoon.

On August 15 the town celebrate a festival, which includes a childrens clown act. The festival includes foam fun and foam guns are fired on the public with music and dance.

Other activities include watermelon ball bobbing, an evening concert and singing.

There are paths to walk on the right side of the mountain along the beach path that can take you to the nearest town, Llafranc. The walk is pleasant, and trails down to the beaches where a person can take a swim or relax.  

In the forest park there is an altar where Mass is offered every Sunday at six in the evening.

Tamariu is a hamlet in the Spanish town of Palafrugell, in the region of Lower Emporda, province of Gerona, on the Costa Brava.

The coastal Town is marked by a bay, flanked by Ortos formations of the north and limestone to the south.

The beach is mainly composed of coarse-grained sand and gravel. The three main beaches two are of sand and one is a coarse-grained rocks.

This former fishing village converted to a tourist village in the 1980s.
