Day or more parties in Santa Ana
between 21 and July 27, the last week of July. During the 8 days they celebrate
their festivals and the renowned international fireworks competition on the Costa Brava. In 2007 was the 37th edition and is one of
the largest in Spain and Europe.
Minor or Feast of the co (i Sant maximize Bonds) which is the tradition for 25
years and Night of the People's Walk which is held in mid-August.
This hike is popular, many people make the walk with their children, pets It is
approximately 8 km long. In recent years, it is attended by over 3,000 people.
Blanes is located on
the coast of the province
of Gerona. It is
considered the first village on the Costa Brava, and is known as the Gateway to
the Costa Brava. In Roman times it is called soft or Blandae.
The township is 18.29 km ². Belongs to the Selva. Blanes is a popular tourist
destination with the Spanish, where its coves and beaches surrounded by
mountains make this site a very tourist popular place. One of the best beaches
is Bona or Cala Sant Francesc.
Formerly, the town's economy was based almost entirely on the primary sector
(both agriculture and fisheries). From the second half of the twentieth century
there was an economic revolution, led primarily by the emergence of a fledgling
textile industry and a strong tourism sector as engines that continue to the
present in the municipality, while leaving some room for the traditional
sectors.
